Mama, I remember your amazing dinners at Thanksgiving and Christmas!!! The wonderful squash casserole, green bean casserole , and the mashed potatoes ! We could not wait to sit around that large oak table with matching chairs. What amazing memories we now hold in our minds. We play them over and over. We can smell the cooking of each creative dish! We know that we can't replace your love we felt each day, but we are trying to do this with our own kids as we prepare our Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. We are thankful that we had a Mother like you ....that gave us memories that filled our souls each and everyday ...that laughed often at our kids and their spirited personalities! What a woman..... the BEST 'Steel Magnolia' woman we have ever loved and strive to imitate your character, wit, laughter, and love of life each and every day, every hour, each second of our lives. Rest well my love...we think of you daily and miss you to the moon and back times infinity squared! Love you :

One year ago you left us and I miss you every day. I will remember the holidays with all the love and laughter we had together. You would be so proud of your baby Lee.

It's Mothers Day and I miss you today. I understand the joy and the heartache of being a mother and I thank you for all your help thru the years. You were with me when I had my son and got to see him first. You made japanese food, his favorite, for him. You help make Easter Egg baskets for him like you made for me. You tried to make me a better mom even when I woundn't listen or take your advice. I love you mom!

Lynn, I just wanted to say how sorry I am. I'm sorry I never got to meet your mother. If she was anything like you she must have been a real pistol! I enjoy working with you so much. Let me know if I can do anything for you as you grieve.

Betty was always a very special lady to me. It never felt right to just call her Betty, or BJ, so I always called her 'Mom' as she was like a second Mom to me. I have so many fond memories of her, especially around Thanksgiving and Christmas. All the ladies in the kitchen Lisa, Lynn, Lee, Mom, and Cile dodging each other and putting together a feast for the family. And what a character Cile was. She had an amazing memory, never forgot the smallest detail, worked all her life without ever filling out an application. I'll always cherish my time with both Betty Mom and cile in the living room talking and I'll always be grateful for the happiness they gave me. All my love to the family.

Lisa, I am so sorry for the loss of your wonderful mother. She sounded like a really great person and I regret not having met her but I know you. The part of you that reflects her grace, generosity, and love of others shines in you. Honor her always by allowing her goodness to shine through you. Many blessings to you, Lisa, and your entire family

We're sorry to hear of Betty's passing. She and her family lived next door to us in Greenville, S.C. for many years. We became close friends, sharing a lot of good times together. She and I, shared the same hobby, decorating and re-arranging our homes. We watched the children grow up and marry, which seems a short time ago. We pray God will bring comfort and peace to you children and grandchildren.
- Max&Mary Myers, Easley, SC
